BLANK RESIDENCY INTERNSHIP

BERLIN/PORTUGAL

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to assist with the preparation and execution of the next BLANK Residency at Craveiral Farmhouse in Odemira, Portugal, taking place in February 2022. We are currently based in Berlin and looking for someone who is flexible to start assisting there 1 day/week from October-February and then accompanies the curator to Portugal in February 2022 for part-time execution of the residency (30 hours/week)

TASKS - Administrative tasks (Coordinating flights, organizing working materials, managing communication between artists and curator) - Assistance with press relations (Writing and sending out press releases, managing the press distribution list, coordinating press requests) - Social Media assistance - Close cooperation with and support of the curator in day-to-day work processes

REQUIREMENTS - Availability to be in Odemira, Portugal for the month of February 2022 - Advanced organizational skills - Degree in art history, cultural studies, communication studies or similar studies - Knowledge of and interest in the contemporary art scene - Good computer skills (Excel, WIX, Instagram, Mailchimp)

- Photography Skills desirable - Structured and independent work habits - Friendly and open manner, ability to work in a team - Flexibility and reliability - Experience in a similar role in contemporary art is an advantage - Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken (German and/or Portuguese is an advantage)

- EU Driver’s License

WE OFFER - 1 day/week (paid) with home office possibility during November, December, January, March - 30 hours/week (Accommodation & Breakfast at Craveiral Farmhouse in Odemira Portugal) during the time of the Residency whole month of February 2022)
